Who’s a good girl? Quinny’s a good girl!
I’ve been quiet this month. It’s been a busy summer trying to get the last bits of the house remodeled before Erin decides that our style is “stale” or another hurricane comes along. It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly a year (9/28/22) since Ian blew through our area of Southwest Florida causing so much destruction and loss.
The females in my life, Erin, Molly and Quinn, seem to enjoy my company on the couch at night when I could otherwise be writing. Perhaps it’s my back and belly scratching prowess (I will not say which to whom) that makes me so popular. We will be heading out in the camper for the next week, so I will be rejoining you, my Substack friends after Labor Day.
In the Meantime:
Quinn is eager for more 14 word stories. She would love it if you would send your creations to me so I can read them to her for the official wag of approval. I’d like to get at least ten. We’re off to a good start with contributions from Clara, Shielagh and Sharron.
You can read some of Quinny’s favorites here:
Send as many as you like, the more the merrier! I will compile the ones Quinny likes (which will be all of them) in a post, with full attribution and you’ll all be world famous authors! Or locally-world famous authors. Or your kids will be impressed. Or Quinny will wag. That’s usually enough for me.
Please email your 14 word stories/statements to: jimcummings5251@comcast.net
Thanks, We are looking forward to your stories!
At Weight Watchers today, she’d lost four pounds. She celebrated with chocolate ice cream.
(All I need is a wag to be happy, Jim, thank you.)
I will see what I can do - but can't say the tale be true.
